Martha ("we," "us," or "our") is a Jungian dream analysis mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Martha app (the "Service").

1. Who We Are

Martha is operated by LEAD AWAKE LLC, based in Oregon/United States. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: when you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. The password is encrypted and stored securely; we cannot read it.
• Onboarding information: during initial setup, you may choose to share your age, gender identity, dream motivations (why you're interested in dream analysis), and any recurring symbols you've noticed in your dreams.
• Dream content: the text or voice recordings of dreams you record in the app, along with any tags, notes, or symbols you associate with them.
• Dream analyses: the interpretive output Martha generates in response to your dreams.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device and usage information: basic technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash logs. This helps us diagnose problems and improve the Service.
• Authentication tokens: session tokens used to keep you logged in securely.

We do not collect:

• Your real name (unless you choose to include it in your dreams)
• Your precise location
• Your contacts, photos, or other device data outside the app
• Advertising identifiers

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Generate personalized dream analyses
• Answer your questions and provide support
• Diagnose technical issues and improve the Service
• Communicate with you about significant changes to the Service or this policy

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your dream content to train AI models
• Build advertising profiles from your data

How Dream Analysis Works

When you submit a dream, it is sent directly from your device to our backend (hosted on Supabase), which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. The response is returned and displayed to you in the app. Your dream content is processed solely to generate your analysis and is not used to train Anthropic's models, per Anthropic's API terms. 4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using industry-standard infrastructure. All data in transit is protected with TLS encryption. Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel only.

Important: while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

5. Your Rights

• Access: you can request a summary of all data we hold about you.
• Deletion: deleting your account permanently and individually removes your data from our systems.
• Export: you can request a copy of your data at any time. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
